Auto Insurers Are On The Right Path


If you have solid and prospective auto insurance leads, then you can distinguish between a good book of insurance business and an excellent book of insurance business.

A recent study conducted by Mintel Comperemedia, Illinois reveals that car drivers are extremely pleased with their respective auto insurance companies.

The data shows that 50% of the respondents have been regular clients of their current auto insurance provider for more than five years. While, only 21% have two to five years experience with their current auto insurance provider.

During conducting the survey, Mintel correspondents asked the customers whether they would like to refer their insurer to their relatives, colleagues and friends. Almost 50% replied that they would refer; while, 31% told they may recommend their auto insurers. The statistics proves that auto insurers are on the right path.

Daniel Hayes, the vice president of the insurance services for Mintel Comperemedia, auto insurance companies are simply doing the right job; auto insurers are on the right path, as most of their clients are very much pleased with their present insurance provider. Most of them do not shop around often for another auto insurer. However, if they do so, then there must be some considerable changes in insurance rates or customer care service.

Data from the survey also indicates that more or less 60% adults shop around for their auto insurance once or even less every year; while about 30% never go for comparison shopping for auto insurance. Therefore, we can consider that auto insurers are on the right path.

Auto insurance agents remember that customer care service and agent accessibility play very important role; it is not so easy to transfer an auto insurance lead to a client.

Over 50% people say that they may opt for comparison shopping if they were not satisfied with the customer care and about 45% say they may shop around if their present auto insurer was not available enough.

Daniel also said that customers shop around for their auto insurance basically for saving considerable amount of dollars or for exceptionally better customer care. Present auto insurers are on the right path and since, most of the policyholders are pleased with their present coverage, insurance companies should find methods to let people question about their current auto insurance coverage. Television as well as direct marketing is good idea to implant questions in customers' mind.

Auto insurance agents must be attentive enough to secure prospective leads to make their book of business better.

Amidst individuals who have shopped around for their auto insurance, 25% did so after watching television ads; while 23% in return to the direct mails.
